| The Chevrolet Caprice is a full size car first introduced as a luxury trim package on the 1965 Impala. In 1966 GM offered a full line of Caprice models, available as a four door sedan, station wagon and even a two door coupe with high end luxury amenities, powerful engines and great styling. After six generations (body style changes) production ended in 1996. The name plate was brought back in 2011 by General Motors as a police patrol vehicle retaining its full size status with a power house engine and rear wheel drive.
