yellowing or clouding of them. This is due to the UV coating that is
applied to them from the manufactures. The coating becomes worn due to
everyday driving conditions, allowing the plastic lens to deteriorate.
The ultra violate rays of the sun deteriorates the thin layer along with
acid rain, sand or grit on the road and even car wash brushes take their
toll on the coating as well. The bulbs create a lot of heat which has an
effect on it as well. Labor intense cleaners and polishers may help to
hide the condition if the lamps are not too far gone already. Most often
new unites offer a cost advantage over the cleaners and last longer.
