In most cases Replacing your broken tail light is
as easy as replacing a burnt out rear brake light bulb.

trucks you must remove the
tail light assembly to replace a burnt out
light bulb. However there are some cars and trucks that you will have
access to the light bulbs in the rear trunk or
cargo area. In this case
you may need to unbolt or unscrew the old tail light assembly and then
install
the new unit, in most instances this only requires simple hand
tools.
