Up until 2007 Jeep used the sealed beam
style lamp but have gone to the composite style, which means you are
able to change the small light bulb instead of the whole unit. The
composite style blend into the good looks of the vehicle and are
efficient. One down side to this is that the outer lens cover is plastic
(most sealed beams are as well) and coated with a UV protective coating.
The coating will wear off and degrade over the years due to the ultra
violet rays of the sun, road grit, washing and even the heat from the
bulb making them turn yellow and cloudy making it
difficult to see at night. The best solution is a new lens cover. Our brand
new assemblies retain factory fit, function and appearance offering a
cost advantage over dealership pricing.
